Our Goats
Registered Mini-Nubian and Nigerian Dwarf Goats

Our goal at Tanglefoot Farm is to raise a strong production dairy herd. We strive to raise, friendly, healthy, conformationally correct animals with good dairy traits, along with excellent udders and production. All of our animals are registered with the American Dairy Goat Association (Nigerian Dwarfs) or the Miniature Dairy Goat Association (Mini Nubians.) While we may consider it in the future, we do not currently "show" our goats.
We are committed to raising healthy, happy animals in a way that also stewars the land. We intentinall limit the number of goats we keep so they have plenty of space to roam and graze on fresh green forage. This not only reduces stress and overcrowding but also supports their overall health and well-being. We practice rotation grazing, moving the herd regularly to fresh areas to allow forage to regrow, minimize parasite pressure, and improve soil health over time. Our goats are tested annually for CAE, CL, Johne's disease, and Q fever. We also conduct quarterly parasite checks to ensure we stay anead of any potential health issues. Additionally, all of our Mini-Nubians are GS6 Normal by genetic testing, thus ensuring healthy kids are born within our herd. These practices reflect our deep commitment to ethical animal husbandry and regenerative agriculture.
