Whimsy's Sugar Snap

Sugar is one of our OGs (original goats). We went all the way to Longmont, CO to pick up her and  her two siblings, Belle Pepper and Mr. Beans, who was our wether.  Let me say now that at the time, I knew nothing about goats, and I thought they were perfect. Time has proven differently, but Sugar lives up to her name and is super sweet and loves to be loved on.  She had two kids, Broccolini and Lavender, both of whom were recently sold.  I milked her for over a year, but she developed udder problems, so we dried her off and intended to retire her. However, Sugar had other plans, and is now the proud mama of three gorgeous doelings, sired by Frisco Blues. And with her second freshening, her udder has improved.

Sugar is also the Goat In Charge. Where she goes the others follow, and what she does, they do. So if she balks, they all balk. If she climbs me like ladder to reach some tasty leaves, they all give it a shot. If she decides she ain't going into the barn, then ain't no-one going into the barn.   But we love her in spite of her bossy tendencies!
