While we use responsible and sustainable practices, we are not currently certified as organic. However, we have begun our "Transition to Organic" program in 2025, and will obtain our certification after that three year process, in 2028.
Tanglefoot uses an integrated pest management system, including beneficial insects, physical barriers such as insect netting, plant-derived organic pesticides such as Neem Oil or BT, along with scouting and hand-removal of pests.
Our fertilizers are Alfalfa Pellets, and Gardentone Organic Fertilizer, along with our own compost.
While vegetable production is our primary goal, we also grow cut flowers and various herbs. We have eggs for sale when the hens are laying, and we offer Homemade Jams, Jellies, Pickles and Salsas. We also offer a limited amount of Goat Milk and other dairy products which can be purchased at the Farm.
We offer farm tours for educational purposes, and occasionally have special events where the farm is open to ticket holders. During this time, visits to the farm are by appointment only.
